About Ethiopia

Ethiopia is located in eastern Africa, just west of Somalia. Less than twice the size of the state of Texas, Ethiopia is rich in both cultural and religious diversity and is home to more than 80 ethnic groups. Nearly 80% of the population live in rural communities, with most residing in the areas around Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa. While the economic situation continues to improve, many Ethiopians have migrated to escape violence or pursue economic opportunities outside the country.
